Liz graduated as a dental surgeon in 1980 from Kings College Hospital, London, She entered general dental practice where she worked in London and the South-East, Bristol and Yorkshire. In September 1996 she gained a Masters degree in Restorative Dentistry from the University of Leeds. Her special interest was in periodontics (gum health) and her work has subsequently been presented at prestigious dental academic meetings in Great Britain and overseas. In February 2002 she gained a place on the Periodontics Specialist List held at the General Dental Council.
From September 1997 to July 2003 she was a Clinical Dental Tutor at the Leeds Dental Institute. She was appointed as a Dental Adviser to the Family Health Services Appeal Authority (FHSAA) in September 1997. She also prepares reports for the Court as an expert witness in dental litigation cases. She is a member of the British Society of Periodontology, British Dental Health Foundation and the British Dental Association. She was President of the Harrogate Dental Society 2002-2003 and Chairman of the Leeds & District Section of the British Dental Association 2003-2004.
Now working exclusively in the Roberts-Harry Clinic, Harrogate she accepts periodontal patients either self referred or referred from their own dentists. Liz also continues to accept patients who self refer for general and cosmetic dental treatments. She regularly attends postgraduate courses, meetings and conferences allowing her to offer the most up to date treatments in order to maintain the highest level of care for her patients.
